When you're a pink thinker you really shouldn't think bad of people, but dude, I'm finding it hard to think positive thoughts about my neighbours.
They inhabit sucksville, a place where people have black clouds above their heads and an inability to smile. I will not miss them when I move.
I found out today they are moving too, imagine if they move to Brighton, next door to me? That would not rock. They've sold their house.
We have not.
That sucks a bit too.
Still, I am super excited about moving - we're still in the early stages of the process - but I'm so excited about a new adventure in my favourite city...
In fact my beautiful friend Sarah posted this quote from one of favourite American authors, Jack Karouac, last night and it seemed so apt, I wrote it out in pink felt tip and have put in on my wall..
“The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars..."
I love that. Forget sucksville with the black clouds and lack of smiles, I'm all about pink-world where roman candles explode like spiders across the stars!
Book news?
Man, is there book news!
Unfortunately, I'm gonna be one of those tease types, coz I don't want to jink anything 'til it's all real and proper, but rest assured, it's excting stuff, so exciting that I'm positively bursting at the seams with pink star-shaped sprinkles of excitement about it all.
I've been editing my new book this morning, it's fiction, and I love it.
It needs a lot of work, but I love existing in another world so completely that it becomes your reality and the real world becomes a huge-ass irritation. I'd continue this afternoon, in fact all weekend if I could, but I have a feature to write before 5:30 and a new home to find, I feel so guilty writing stuff I love. I don't know if other writer types find it, but I always think I should be doing something else because surely, you're not meant to dig what you're doing every day, right?
Except when you're a writer, you can.
That really is coolio-a-go-go, isn't it?
I'm one lucky lady.
Can I just ask how much money exactly have Living TV put into the advert for Jade's new TV show 'Jade's PA'? More importantly, why did I not know about Jade needing a PA? I would be totally perfect for that job! I love her, I love organising, I love answering phones - man, I'd be perfecto! Does she not know I've read her autobigraphy 2 whole times? Erm.. did I just say that out loud?

I'm watching back to back Britain's Next Top Model - it's not right, but it's ok.
It's great frivilious telly...who am I trying to kid? I dig this stuff!
But it's good background TV for when I'm writing lots of pitches that will hopefully score me some killer freelance jobs over the next couple of months. Y'see, my man and I were in the too cool for school city of Brighton yesterday looking for a pad to call our own and dude, it's expensive. Like, super expensive.
So, I need to write.
Lots.
We saw lots of places yesterday, a few that were cute and a few that were deffo not, we were even a little bit naughtee and pretended we had more money than we actually did so that we could check out a killer pad with a sea view - oh my stars, it was dee-lish...maybe one day, along with my new york loft apartment!
So, I'm all about the house selling, house hunting and boring snoring grown up stuff that comes with movin', but I'm working on the basis that once we're in, and havin' christmas in Brighton it'll deffo be worth it - I've put in my cosmic order - well, if it works for Noel, there is absolutely every chance it'll work for me, right?

Oh My Stars.
High School Musical.
New favourite film.
After a day of feature writing - how to say no, must-have mates and a promo piece for Think Pink - I treated myself to time out on the sofa with the most blogged about made-for-TV movie, like ever.
I don't think I could love something more than I now love that film. I can just imagine in the same way as I dug on Grease, watching it a hundred times until I knew all the words, there will be kids across the globe doing exactly the same with this.
I'm jealous, I want to be a kid. I want to watch it a million zillion times. I want to crush on Troy without it being wrong.
Did I mention that I loved this film?
DO you think they'll bring it out on DVD? I've ordered the CD already but I'd like it on DVD now. I'm even contemplating re-watching it on Disney at nine. That's how much I loved it.

Change the world for a fiver

I don't like Mondays
While I should be celebrating the fabness of being Lisa Clark in the world, and don't get me wrong, it does pretty much rock being me most of the time, there are some times however, when it doesn't.
Today is one of those days.
I have PMT. When this occurs I turn into the devil in pink accessories.
There is also a whole load of boring snoring real lifey stuff that is just not going as it should. That makes me every kind of mad. That is why the world should be pink, coz the real, grey monotone real world has this real tendency to suck.
So to conteract all poopyness, I have shunned the real world and instead spent the afternoon in pink world.
Dude, let me tell you, it's been mucho fun...I've written fun stuff in my journal, I bought colouring pens and a colouring book and coloured outside the lines and I went for a long stroll along the seafront listening to a playlist consisting of The Pipettes, Shampoo and The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs - girl power!
Also I got a mailing from Tina at Divadom, who said I should think of myself as a Diva Weeble, I may wobble but I most deffo won't fall down. I liked that a lot.
Films I have seen and loved and rudely not shared with you include:
Volver - I dig Penelope Cruz, but in her native language, she rock n' rules. The portrayal of women and their inter-connecting relationships is clever, tear-jerking, funny and beautiful all at once. It's an absolute must-see.
Little Miss Sunshine - I had read and heard so much about this that I thought I might be disapointed, I wasn't. It was funny and totally adoreable. A delicious way to spend a Saturday afternoon when it was uncharacteristically hot in my favourite city of Brighton. Ant and I came out and ate chips on the beach while we bathed in the fabulousness of the film.

TVtastic
I'm like a kid in a candy store this mornin' - I have the newest, pinkest HeidiSeeker bag with yumsville punk trash trinkets, a retro chic pink cassette purse and some new hair candy - coz, well..you can never have enough hair candy quite frankly.
I heart Heidi Seeker. So should you.
It's also Scissor Sisters day on Radio 1, so as much as I'd like to go out and show off my new accesorised self, I will be sat in my room, doing the work I've put off doing all week - yep, you read right editor types, I'm totally on it! What's cool about writing for the Americano magazines is that you get an extended deadline coz they don't wake up til 'bout 2ish our time...
So, Thursday is now officially TV night - I won't bore you with Dragon's Den talk - that's a guilty pleasure, so we'll move right onto Extras - ohmystars! I'm totally with Maggie, I don't find Orlie all that attractive - he is chiselled of jaw and easy on the eye but he doesn't rock my world - I lauged so hard and got sad about the reality of the industry all at once - the man is a legend.
I met him in Paperchase last Christmas, y'know. He was wearing trackie bottoms.
But my absolute favourite part of my TV night was Janice Dickinson - the woman is crazy mccrazy, but I can't help diggin' her - I'm glad it's only half hour because any more of the Dickinson, I would of probably got a little bit angry with her, but as it goes, half hour was just enough of the craziness to make me wanna watch next week...I must go try and find her myspace.
Now to work. Yep, just after I've made a green tea, oh and read my favourite blogs.

I'm lovin':
The fact that I've just found out my latest shipment from Heidiseeker.com is on it's way - happy days.
The scissors sisters - d'ya know how many times I've tried to enter that radio 1 competition to play scissor sisters, paper, stone? Too many, and not once have I got through. Boo. This has not changed my amount of love for them. That, is evergrowing.
New songs by My Chemical Romance and The Killers - my boombox plays them both loudly and I dance a little bit silly to them on my new £9.99 rug from Wilkinsons.
Tonight's TV - Dragons Den and Extras and then quickly flip over to Janice Dickinson's modelling agency - I'm taking the phone off the hook and everything - that is TV at it's finest.
Curly Wurly's - I have re-discovered them and am loving them a lot.
Soap and Glory beauty products - available in Boots - fabulous-o.

I've just cut my fringe stupidly short.
I'll never learn.
I grow a killer rock girl fringe, get mad because I can't see, think I wanna go all Betty Page and cut myself a lil short fringe.
Except it never ends up like that, which is why hairdressers go train and stuff, so they can make hair look pretty, NOT like I have had a run in with Edward Scissorhands. Although come to think of it, it's not like that would be so bad, right?
I'm also a little restless today. I wanna write, I wanna read, I wanna watch a DVD, I wanna go to the cinema, I wanna go for a walk, I wanna write my journal, I wanna write content for my new website, I wanna do the work early that I'm on deadline for next week and I'm actually doing none of the above, instead I'm watching QVC and cutting my fringe.
Also why am I lovin' Fergie's song 'London Bridge' so much and what exactly is it about? Is it rude? I can't work it out. I am also lovin', because of it's complete fabulousity, Scissor Sisters 'I don't feel like dancing' - except it actually really does make me feel like dancing because it's really rather good. I'm hoping to get tix to go see 'em for my birthday - hint hint boyf. Although mister, if you're reading this, a trip to NYC is also really okay too.
I've just found a programme called The Cut on Living TV and there's a contestant called Princess, like it's her real name and everything. What's not to love about that? She's a little bit...well, y'know...much, but I s'pose if I was called Princess, so would I be.
Why have I not seen this programme before? Did I miss the memo?
There really is too much good TV, I've decided I want to get paid to watch the kind of reality TV where they make and do stuff - not 'Big Bro' or 'Love Island' but Project Runway, America's Next Top Model and all - that would be the very best kind of job, well apart from a job that involved me hanging in NYC on a regualar basis obviously. Do you know there's this real estate website where you can actually do a virtual online tour of Manhattan loft apartments? I can spend entire days salivating and planning how my life will be when I actually own my very own - there's an adoreable one with a killer view of the empire state building that I have saved, it's a great butt-kickin' motivator for those moments when I think I'll slack off, it's a constant reminder of why I've gotta keep workin' my butt off!
Book pimp: Currently reading Cents and Sensibility by Maggie Anderson and am completely loving it. Maggie is a former editor of glossy magazine and you're completely drawn in from the get-go. Won't spoil it for those of you who might read it, of course it's not literary genius, but if you love a fabulous read ala Sex and the City with glamour, glitz and magazine world insight - go read.
Right, all this talk of Americana has made me crave a bagel, so I'm gonna head into town and get me a cream cheese and salmon one then, come back and pitch feature ideas that will hopefully fund a trip to NY asap.
Still have silly fringe tho.

What's with the weather?
The weekend brought with it a promise of autumn, a promise which I got so excited about that I went and bought a jumper dress and a yummy pair of pink tights - oh, how I love autumn/winter time. So, why is it that today, wednesday, I am taking the fan back out of the box to stave off this indian-like summer weather I'm experiencing?
Not happy.
I can however, now see. I picked up my glasses yesterday and am really rather loving my new intellectual girl look. I can't quite decide which pair to wear, so I'm alternating between geek girl chic and bling bling queen, depending on mood. I am currently in writer mode which means my hair needs a wash, it's tied back with a pair of old tights, I have toothpaste on my spots and I am generally not looking my hottest - when this status changes, I'll take pics.

I am old.
At 27 this is not something I like to admit. It is however, the only excuse I have for only just realising that the too-cute boys I kept catching a sneaky glimpse of when Anthony went to the toilet at Edinburgh airport were actually American indie band, OK Go.
I knew they were a band, something to do with the big-ass instrument boxes they were checking in, but also because cute boys, well...they know they're cute and they look for attention. As an official 'cute boy attention giver' they were in luck. They also have a unique look about them that only a kooky american indie band could pull of without getting laughed at in the street...
Anyway, my point is, while I knew they were a band, I didn't know who they were.
Now, if you know me, you'll know that my knowledge of all things music is pretty unrivalled. There was a time I'd happily give Jo Whiley a run for her 'queen of all things moosak' tiara, but it seems, if this huge lapse in music concentration is anything to go by, I'm losing it.
It wasn't until I watched E! News (FYI, I DO watch other channels, it's just who wants to watch borin' snorin' news when you can check out the celeb types? Not me.) that I saw 'em, realised it was the boys I was checkin' out at the airport AND then realised they were actually really rather good. That's not how it's meant to happen and the only conclusion I can have for that is that I'm getting old.
